PSSI berharap Indonesia bisa tampil di Piala Dunia

Kedatangan trofi piala dunia ke Indonesia untuk kesekian kalinya dijadikan motivasi bagi PSSI untuk bisa berpartisipasi dalam piala dunia, hal itu diungkapkan PSSI melalui Sekjennya Joko Driyono pada konferensi pers di Hotel Mulia (06/01/14). “banyak orang yang setuju bahwa piala dunia bukan sekedar peristiwa olahraga tapi juga peristiwa budaya, 2014 bukan bagian dari peserta piala dunia tapi 4 sampai 8 tahun mendatang kita bisa berpartisipasi” ucap Joko.

Joko berharap talenta-talenta muda usia belasan tahun bisa terinspirasi dari kedatangan trofi piala dunia ini “Saya berharap trofi ini memberikan inspirasi bagi talenta muda Indonesia dan semua orang karena ini merupakan peristiwa budaya yang melibatkan semua orang dengan seluruh kepentingan” ujarnya


Indonesia telah dua kali dikunjungi trofi yang memiliki tinggi 36,8 sentimeter dengan berat 6,175 kilogram dan terbuat dari emas padat 18 karat yakni pada 2006 dan 2010. Sejak diluncurkan september lalu tercatat trofi piala dunia ini sudah berkeliling mengunjungi amerika latin, afrika, timur tengah serta asia tenggara sebelum kembali ke Brazil.

Buchenwald Concentration Camp Liberated by American Troops (1945)

Buchenwald was one of the first and largest concentration camps in Nazi Germany. As US forces closed in on the camp near the end of WWII, the Nazis began evacuating its prisoners, forcing them on "death marches" during which an estimated 13,500 were killed.
