Anis Baswedan : Pemimpin itu harus mendidik

Sebagai seorang akademisi Anies Baswedan berpendapat bahwa menjadi seorang pemimpin haruslah mendidik, “memimpin adalah mendidik dan mendidik adalah memimpin, semua pendidik pasti adalah pemimpin” ujar Anies saat menyampaikan gagasannya dalam konvensi capres partai Demokrat, Anies saat ini ikut bersaing ketat dalam konvensi capres partai Demokrat bersama sepuluh kandidat lain dari berbagai latar belakang.


Anies menambahkan menjadi seorang pemimpin juga harus dapat memberikan gagasan serta ide demi kemajuan bangsa, “memimpin itu adalah mentransfer nilai, mentransfer ide dan gagasan sehingga semua bergerak” ujarnya. Dalam konvensi capres partai Demokrat hari terakhir itu Anies juga berkomentar mengenai komposisi kabinet jika dirinya nanti dipercaya menjadi presiden, menurutnya kabinet pemerintahannya akan diisi oleh orang-orang yang kompeten tanpa memandang latar belakang partai, agama dan etnis “Background partai mana saja boleh, etnis tidak penting. Yang terpenting mereka bekerja untuk kepentingan publik bukan pribadi” tutupnya.

Buchenwald Concentration Camp Liberated by American Troops (1945)

Buchenwald was one of the first and largest concentration camps in Nazi Germany. As US forces closed in on the camp near the end of WWII, the Nazis began evacuating its prisoners, forcing them on "death marches" during which an estimated 13,500 were killed.
