Kisah Sejarah Masjid Nabawi

Apabila anda berkunjung ke kota Madinah, maka jangan lupa untuk mengunjungi Masjid Nabawi. salah satu tempat yang menyimpan sejarah panjang tentang Nabi Muhammad SAW. Bagi umat muslim, Masjid Nabawi adalah masjid yang paling berharga setelah Masjidil Haram di Mekkah. Karena di Masjid Nabawi ini dulunya adalah rumah Nabi Muhammad SAW. Pada awal pembangunannya masjid ini hanya berukuran sekitar 50 m x 50 m dan bermaterialkan tanah liat, bertiang pohon kurma, dan beratap pelepah kurma. Sangat sederhana jika dibandingkan dengan kondisinya sekarang yang megah.

Masjid Nabawi dibangun langsung oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW bersama dengan sahabatnya dan kaum muslimin pada tahun 662 Masehi. Selain sebagai tempat ibadah, Masjid Nabawi juga dijadikan basis perjuangan dakwah Nabi Muhammad SAW. Dalam catatan sejarah, Masjid Nabawi pertama kali diperluas oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW pada tahun ke 7 Hijriah, kemudian perluasan bangunan masjid dilanjutkan pada massa khalifah Umar Bin Khatab pada tahun 17 Hijriah. Pada zaman modern perluasan bangunan terjadi tahun 1372 Hijriah oleh Raja Abdul Aziz dari kerajaan Arab Saudi.


Saat ini Masjid Nabawi mampu untuk menampung hingga 1 juta jamaah, terlebih saat ibadah haji dan umrah. Masjid Nabawi selalu dipenuhi jamaah dari seluruh penjuru dunia. Selain untuk beribadah, jamaah yang datang ketempat ini juga untuk beziarah ke makam Nabi Muhammad  SAW yang terletak ditengah Masjid dan mengunjungi salah satu bagian yang terkenal dari masjid ini yaitu Raudlah yang berarti Taman Surga. Jika kita berdoa di Raudlah ini, diyakini akan dikabulkan oleh Allah swt.
